Who is explained Ana Paula Castro, president of the German Allergy and Asthma of São Paulo (ASBAI-SP), which gave an interview to the blog by email.

Ana Paula Castro – Strawberry and tomato have different characteristics, release substances that cause allergy, but are not related to pesticides.

Ana Paula Castro – In young children, attention to cow’s milk and egg proteins.

Ana Paula Castro – Allergies to cow’s milk and eggs tend to disappear at the end of the first 10 years, but only 20% of allergies to shrimp tend to fade with time.

Ana Paula Castro – The treatment includes a super-orientation with respect to reading labels, hidden ingredients and guide on synonyms of milk, eggs etc.. Parents and caregivers should be advised schools and parents should know how to recognize a crisis and receive instructions on how to proceed.

Ana Paula Castro – In general, foods, no matter the amount. Only traces may be sufficient to trigger the symptoms, but in some patients, symptoms occur in larger quantities.

Educating and Caring – Can an allergic reaction to food by contact with skin and not by eating?

Ana Paula Castro – Yes, the allergens can trigger the reaction by more than one way.

Ana Paula Castro – The immune system, responsible for triggering the allergy is distributed throughout the body. This triggering can occur with inhalation of food or even with contact.
